In Loving Memory of Kathleen Marsh (Lady K)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marsh (Lady K), a beloved wife, mother, pastor, and pillar of strength, who departed from this world on November 13, 2023. Lady K's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the profound impact one person can have on those around them.

Lady K was born on May 4, 1967, in Yonkers, New York to the late Charles McClendon and the late Gladys Washington. She grew up with a compassionate heart and a nurturing spirit. She dedicated her life to building a loving home, and her journey was defined by the roles she cherished most— dedicated pastor, devoted wife, and loving mother. Lady K's unwavering commitment to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. As a wife, she stood by her husband, Jonathan Marsh, sharing in the joys and challenges of life's journey. Their bond was a source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to witness the depth of their love.

As a mother, Lady K was the heart and soul of her family. Her days were filled with selfless acts of love, from preparing home-cooked meals to offering words of wisdom and comfort. Her children, Darnel, Jaida, Shanell, Jonathan Jr., Jaylin, and Nicholas were her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing them, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. Lady K’s legacy extends beyond the walls of her home. She was a pastor and active member of the church and community, known for her generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of neighbors, friends, and anyone in need, creating a ripple effect of love and goodwill. In the midst of our grief, let us also celebrate the beautiful life of Lady K. The impact of her love and the lessons she imparted will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind. As we mourn her passing, let us remember the laughter, the shared moments, and the enduring love that defined her life.

She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Marsh (her Boop), a man that has shared her world for the past 37 years. Those who will carry her memory forward include her children – Darnel, Jaida (Marcus Bryant), Shanell (Kelvin Gidron), Jonathan Jr., Jaylin, and Nicholas, and her grandsons – Tavon and Tyshawn.  She is left in the hearts of a host of godchildren (Mema’s babies), siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
