An Awesome Woman of God
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 8 And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
II Timothy 4: 7-8
The Kingdom Impact Global Ministries (KIGM) family and the broader Fayetteville, North Carolina community are mourning the profound loss of Pastor Glendora F. Ford, co-pastor, spiritual mentor, and devoted wife of Chief Apostle William T. Ford, Sr. Her unexpected passing has left a significant void in the hearts of many who were touched by her unwavering faith, compassionate leadership, and dedication to service. Born in Abbottsburg, NC, and raised in Bladen County, Glendora was the fourth of seven children of the late Bessie Faulkner. Her spiritual journey began early; she was saved and baptized at the age of fourteen at First Pentecostal FWB Church under the guidance of the late Pastor R.J. Avery. Growing up in a pastor’s home, she quickly learned the values of service and leadership. Her early involvement in ministry included roles such as usher, choir member and director, Sunday school teacher, and director of Women’s Fellowship. These formative experiences laid the foundation for a lifetime of spiritual dedication and community involvement.
Glendora’s commitment to education was evident in her academic journey. She attended Cumberland County Public Schools and studied dietetics at North Carolina A&T State University for three years. Furthering her education, she earned credentials in Food Service and Secretarial Science at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Her passion for spiritual counseling led her to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling from Calvary Theological Seminary in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Professionally, Pastor Glendora served full-time in the Cumberland County School System, embodying her belief that service extends beyond church walls. Her dedication to education and community development was a testament to her holistic approach to ministry and life.
A licensed and ordained minister, Pastor Glendora faithfully preached the gospel for over eight years. Her sermons, known for their sensitivity and relevance, resonated deeply with congregants, particularly women navigating the complexities of balancing ministry, careers, and family life. She was a beacon of grace and strength, offering guidance and inspiration to many. Alongside her husband, Chief Apostle William T. Ford, Sr., she co-led Kingdom Impact Global Ministries, fostering a spiritual environment that emphasized healing, hope, and empowerment. Their partnership in life and ministry was marked by mutual love, dedication, and a shared vision to uplift God’s people. Pastor Glendora often spoke of her aspiration to become an author, believing that she had “many, many books” within her, filled with testimonies, spiritual insights, and messages of liberation for women. She was a firm believer in speaking things into existence and living by faith, encouraging others to recognize and embrace their God- given potential. Her family remembers her as a source of unwavering support, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her sudden departure is a profound loss to all who knew her. However, her life’s work and spiritual influence continue to inspire and guide the Kingdom Impact Global Ministries family and the broader community. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and unwavering devotion. We will forever remember her saying; “and a hand clap goes right there.” Pastor Glendora was predeceased by her mother, Bessie Faulkner, as well as her sisters, Loretta Malloy and Barbara Gail McNeill.
She is survived by her husband, Apostle William T. Ford, Sr., their three adult children, William T. Ford, Jr, LaTia Ford, and Stephon Ford of Fayetteville NC, her cherished grandson, Camden, one brother Robert Earl Faulkner, three sisters, Phyllis Harris, Sofornia Faulkner, Michelle Faulkner, two foster sisters, Shirley Avery and Ann Avery of Fayetteville NC, one brother-n-law, Elder Bishop (Michelle) Ford of Fayetteville, NC, two sisters-n-law, Susie Rashid-Jaba and Jackie Ford of Fayetteville, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
